This Death Whistle is based on an ancient Aztec design to make a haunting sound.   They were found in many Azetc graves even clenched in the deceased’s hands. There is no one sound a Death Whistle makes.  The original ones made by the Early South American cultures ranged from just wind to moans, screams and shrieks. They were made of clay by hand and varied greatly. They did not call them Death Whistles in Aztec it translated closer to Wind Whistle. Some popular YouTube videos are of Death Whistles that sound like mostly wind with a horrible shriek. These have a sound similar to that.  When you blow lightly you get a sound like wind in a cave. But when you blow hard you get the sound of rushing wind with a blood curdling shrieking scream in it. If you cup the bell in your hands open and close them while varying how hard you blow you can put down the soundtrack to your worst nightmare.
This Zombie has had it hard in the Apocalypse. Eye falling out, Chunks of his ear missing, General Rot and someone left him with a K-Bar knife handle sticking out of his head. The knife handle doubles as the mouthpiece for the whistle.
These are like nothing I have ever 3D printed before. As they take shape the cooling fan blows into the forming whistle and creates a rhythmic breathing sound.  It feels as though each one takes on a life of its own.
They even develop a voice of their own. Each one has it's own sound.
These can get very Loud. Watch out I have made my ears ring.
Our Death Whistles are printed on top of the line 3D printers available. We PLA+ which is much stronger then standard PLA. It is also paintable using acrylic paints. A great novelty and conversation piece.
