MLB Authenticated - Wilson Ramos 128th Career HOME RUN Off Max Scherzer. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On September 26, 2020, the New York Mets visited the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park for doubleheader. Game 1 pitted Jacob deGrom against Max Scherzer. In the top of the third, Luis Guillorme led off with a walk. Wilson Ramos then walked to the plate. With the count 1-2, SCHERZER HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 92.2 mph cutter, and RAMOS LAUNCHED THIS BALL 440 FEET TO THE CURLY W IN CENTERFIELD FOR HIS FIFTH HOME RUN OF THE SEASON AND THE 128th HOME RUN OF HIS CAREER!! The Mets were up 2-0. The inning proceeded with Brandon Nimmo striking out, Jeff McNeil reaching on Brock Holt’s error, JD Davis lined out to Luis García, and Dominic Smith hit into a fielder’s choice. The Nats came back to win 4-3 with Andrew Stevenson hitting two home runs - one conventional and the other an inside-the-ballpark when Smith barely missed catching the ball and plowed into the left field wall. Scherzer finished with a quality start and seven strikeouts. He also gave up a home run to Ahmed Rosario. Trea Turner, Juan Soto, and Victor Robles all went hitless. deGrom struck out 10 in five innings. Pete Alonso and Robinson Cano also had hits off Scherzer. This ball is MLB Authenticated for Ramos’s home run off Scherzer. The ball comes with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
