SOLID Glossy Black in color with a long shell similar in shape to rabbit or chopstick snails, although these guys are much less sedentary!
These are a VERY active species of snail and are SUPER food motivated. Fun to watch as they not only enjoy crawling on the substrate they also spend lots of time 'hanging' around on the side of the aquarium walls. These are a larger type of snail and would do best in an aquarium with some space for them to move about freely. It is possible to breed these snails in captivity and due to their infrequent

They range in size from 2"-3" with most of these Adult snails being on the larger side of things... Size comparison photos are included.
Perfect for DWARF Shrimp tanks and Planted tanks especially as they will not interrupt breeding Shrimp populations or eat aquatic plants or desirable mosses. These snails are very hardy and tolerant of a wide variety of water conditions and parameters, do well in shipping, and typically live for 2-5 years!
I ONLY ship on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday when temps at both shipments points are between 45-95 degrees F. If shipments are placed when temps are outside of these ranges we will either hold the order, request additional shipping charges to do overnight shipping in an insulated box with delivery by noon ( Surcharge), or still ship at the sole risk of the buyer.

Some may come minor shell blemishes, these imperfections make them all unique in their appearance; However having dealt with literally millions of snails for over 15 years I would say these are A+ quality for these species and a true gem for any aquarium!
