    Description

Set of 8 juvenile purple dark foot mystery snails (Pomacea bridgesii):
They are currently just about nickel-sized (0.8 inch, 20 mm). I will ship the biggest snails first, you get the biggest snails I currently have.
These snails grow very quickly, fewer snails grow faster than lots of snails, and they grow faster in warmer water.
I would expect them to be full-grown in approximately 4-6 weeks, and producing egg clutches in approximately 6-8 weeks from delivery.
Females grow up to 2 inches (5cm) and the males stay a little smaller.
Mystery snails are considered plant-safe, and only eat dead plant material.
Mystery snails are great at eating algae, biofilm, and dead fish, and they also eat sinking pellets, algae wafers, and blanched vegetables such as zucchini, kale, spinach, cucumber, or green beans.
    Recommended Water Parameters:
pH range: 7.2 to 8.4 (alkaline)
    Temperature range: 68° to 84° F
    kH 12-18
gH 8-18 (Mystery snails like hard water)
Have some crushed coral, oyster shells, egg shells, or cuttlebone available to chew on as a calcium supplement
Min tank size is typically one gallon per adult snail
    Shipping Details:
Shipped with USPS Priority mail to mainland USA only. No international shipping.
I will ship on Mondays and Tuesdays to avoid weekend delays.
Snails ship in an insulated container. These snails will handle hot weather up to the mid 90's F or 35C, please do not order if your weather exceeds 95F or 35C.
If your region is too hot for delivery I may refund the sale immediately at my discretion.
    Live-Arrival Guarantee:
I will guarantee live arrival for up to 30 minutes after delivery. If you can't get your snails out of the mailbox within 30 minutes of delivery, please arrange to have your package held at the post office or have a neighbor get it out of the mailbox.
Mailboxes in the sun can easily reach 150F / 65C or more inside, so I can only guarantee 30 minutes of exposure to temperatures in that range.
I can arrange for your package to be held at the post office if you let me know before I ship the item(s).
Do not drop hot snails from the mailbox directly into cold water, drip acclimation is recommended.
The snails may just lay on the bottom of the tank and hide in their shells for 8-48 hours before they start roaming around a new tank. Please wait 48 hours for them to acclimate before you start to worry about them.
If you think your snails are dead, here's a few things you can check to see if they're alive or not.
If the snails are alive, they will keep their trapdoor shut tight.
Once they die, they relax and the trapdoor will start to open and their body will start falling out of the shell and dangling freely.
If the trapdoors are still tightly shut, then the snails are still alive.
You must take close-up photos of any dead snails in the first 30 minutes of delivery for a refund (shipping excluded). Photos must be timestamped or include appropriate metadata. Pictures of snails at the bottom of your tank with their trapdoor tightly shut are not proof of dead snails. Pics must show dead snails falling out of their shells with their trapdoor open.
