2012 KTM 990SMT Supermoto Travel V-Twin. I purchased this bike new in 2012 and personally completed all maintenance along the way…bike has never been touched by anyone but me. Oil and filters changed more often than prescribed @ 800 miles, 2000 miles and 3400 miles. Bike is in immaculate condition and is showroom stock from the handguards to the tires. - Original tires are still soft, get sticky once warmed up, and have plenty of life left
- Bike has never been on the track or abused in any way. I’m over 50, retired Navy with 33 years of Service, have been working on motorcycles since 1978, and have all the proper tools
- Bike has never been modified; only items I added were engine guards (sliders), swingarm guards (sliders)/rear lift mounts, Go-Pro mount and a battery tender pigtail
Extremely versatile bike that can carve canyons or travel for thousands of miles. Powerful, but predictable bike that inspires confidence. Comfortable seating position and integrated side luggage doesn’t get in your way. Rear rack can be used to strap down additional luggage. The 990 engine was manufactured well before and after 2012, and is well known to be an incredibly reliable, compact, yet powerful engine. Great power to weight ratio with the bike weighing in @ 435 pounds. I’ll likely regret selling this bike, but I’ve always been more drawn more to dirt bike riding which I do regularly and I rarely find the time to ride on the pavement (as you can see by the low mileage).
