    Description

This 1997 KTM 360 MXC has been in the family for at least 15 years...when we got it it was setup for and in use as a hillclimber - which, if you're not familiar with hillclimb, meant it realistically only got a few minutes of actual use every year. On top of that, it has actually just sat unused for several years recently, so despite it's age it hasn't had a whole lot of actual riding time on it. Probably only about 3-4 years' worth.
I decided to switch it back to regular use from hillclimb, and proactively bought a lot of new parts and such for it thinking I was going to use it as my main trail riding bike - but then I just went and bought a new bike anyway, and even though I'm really tempted to keep it since it's in such nice shape, the fact is I just don't have any need for it anymore.
So to that end you'll see that there's lots of new and practically-new parts on the bike, like the plastic, graphics, seat foam, gripper seat cover, and tires that have been barely used at all.  Fresh top-end too.  It'll also come with all the extras that I bought for it, including a brand-new US Forestry Service approved Pro Circuit spark arresting silencer (needed for riding on public lands) that cost 0 by itself - new brake parts, steering stem bearings, sprockets, cables, ready-to-use pre-oiled air filter, clutch plates and springs, reeds, bark busters, and probably at least a full set of engine gaskets and o-rings. On top of that, there's a set of plastic frame protectors that were originally on the bike when we got it that you can put back on if you like, and you'll also get the swingarm extensions if you decide to try your hand at hillclimb.
The bike didn't need much in the way of TLC after coming out of storage - it's ready to go as-is straight to the trails or track.  I did do a thorough carb cleaning, but that was basically it - jump on and go have fun.  And you'll have all those extras in case you need them - especially the bark busters and spark arrestor if you're going to go woods riding.  As you can see in the photos it's in pretty great shape overall. This is a great true big-bore 2-stroke, kind of a rare breed these days. Very strong power on tap, but still easy to ride.
You are welcome to stop by and check it out, or have a representative do so - can take it for a quick ride if you like.
Free local pickup - otherwise you arrange for your own transportation/shipping.
